The Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, SGT University successfully organized a two-day hands-on workshop on “Introduction to Hydrological Modelling Software and HEC-RAS Software” on 3rd and 4th November 2025.
The expert speaker discussed the basics of hydrology, river cross-section geometric design, open channel flow, and demonstrated the use of Remote Sensing and QGIS software in hydrological studies. Participants also explored real-life projects and case studies, linking theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
Students actively participated in the sessions, engaging in hands-on exercises on HEC-RAS, and gaining practical exposure to hydrological analysis, flood simulation, and river modelling.
