The Training and Placement Cell (TPC), in FEAT is an indispensable factor in moulding the perspective of the new generation students by training and assisting them to get placed in the industry of their choice. This cell’s purpose is to ensure that each student is ready to be competitive within the job market and get a job in his or her area of specialisation keeping market trends in mind.
Vision of TPC
- Enhancing Employability:The overall learning outcome which is the most obvious and clear is students’ readiness to get a job suitable for them.
- Industry Collaboration:Establishing good relationships with industries and the employers for internship, training and employment of a student.
- Skill Development:Organization of one or several courses, training and seminars, connected with preparation and writing of resumes and covering letters, the development of the skills for job interviews and interpersonal and soft skills.
- Continuous Improvement:Continuous assessment of the placement procedure which includes acknowledging the needs of the market trends such as the students, the employers and other stakeholders in the market.
- Inclusivity and Diversity:Ensuring that the placement is open for all the students and all the students are equally afforded the opportunity of the placement irrespective of the diversity of the background and encouraging the workers on the diversity matters.
- Exposure:The efficient training of the students in Companies, processes, eligibility and the like.
Objective of TPC
- Offer students with training programs and workshops in stages constituting effective communication, collaboration, critical thinking, conflict resolution, time management, and technical skills to become applicable in the Engineering field.
- To foster good relationships with industries, firms, and organisations to enable impression, physical and virtual visits, guest lecturers and students to appreciate the real business settings.
- To help the students to get suitable internships and practical training placements to expose them to the actual working environment which in turn improves their understanding and performance.
- To arrange Campus Placements, Job fairs, and Placement Seminars.
- To teach students on how to write appropriate curricula vitae, cover letter, and portfolios, as well as simulating interview questions, and group discussions, for actual interviews.
