Born in a family ought to serve humanity through Ayurveda, Prof. (Dr.) Prasanna V. Savanur completed his graduation in 1994 who later accomplished post-graduation & his academic distinction as Ph.D. in Dravyaguna from Bhartiya Vidya Peeth, Pune, Maharashtra. Journey began as lecturer in the year 1995 and since then till date he has been a cradle of knowledge in Dravyaguna for budding scholars and students. He has inspired and guided many number of Postgraduate scholars to achieve Excellency in Ayurveda. His diligent and persuasive passion could propagate Ayurveda to countries like UK and Brazil through Guest Lectures, Teachings and Presentations.
Scientist inside him could provide conventional language to Ayurveda herbs and publish them in various peer-reviewed journals may it be analytical, experimental and clinical studies. He has been invited speaker at different National and International Scientific platforms including JIVAKA International Ayurveda Conference-2006 at Bangkok, Thailand.
He also has distinction of publishing two valuable texts to Ayurveda fraternity namely SHRI VYASAKESHVARAM VIRCHITA-LAGHU NIGHANTU and TRIDOSHA THEORY.
Prof. (Dr.) Prasanna V. Savanur rendered an excellent Administration reign of more than a decade at different levels and capabilities it may be serving as Deputy Chief Superintendent for UG & P.G Examinations, Member Local Inspection Committee, Ph.D. Registration Committee Member, Faculty of Ayurveda, External Member of Board of Studies (BoS) of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka, and PG Coordinator to being Vice Principal at N K Jabshetty Ayurveda Medical College, Bidar and KLE Shri BMK Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Belgaum, Karnataka. He was the reason for and part of many conferences, symposium and research workshops held across Karnataka State and India. With such selfless efforts towards the field he was Honored with “JIVAKA AYURVEDA VISHWA SAANMANA” during conference in 2006 at Bangkok, Thailand, and Dhnavantari Award for Excellence in Ayurvedic Practice by AAPNA – Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America in 2021
