Ms. Bhawna Tomar is a German Language Expert at the Centre for Languages and Communication at SGT University, Gurugram. She has completed her Master’s degree in German Studies from Delhi University and was a Gold Medalist. She has completed her certification up to B2 Level from Max Mueller Bhavan. She also holds an Advanced Diploma in German from St. Stephens College and a Diploma in German from DCAC, both from Delhi University. Based on her exceptional performance during her Masters, she was awarded the ANP Scholarship Program, a collaborative Translation Project between the University of Wuppertal, Germany, and the University of Delhi, India, which is offered and sponsored by DAAD, India. Throughout the project, she demonstrated exceptional teamwork and communication skills while working with a group of native speakers at the University of Wuppertal, Germany, for six months and received recognition for her academic achievements. She is a member of the Goethe Society of India and ELTAI. She has been actively participating in webinars and events, demonstrating her expertise in the subject area and her commitment to continuous learning and professional development. With over 4 years of teaching and training experience, Ms. Bhawna is a goal-oriented education management professional with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. She has been teaching the German language and literature and training students at various levels, starting from beginner to advanced levels, by restructuring the curriculum to include more experiential-based learning-based assessment, higher-level objectives, student-centered content, and a more measurable rubric system, resulting in remarkable outcomes. With her exceptional training and counseling skills, she has helped many students settle in different German-speaking countries. Her areas of specialization are Foreign language Teaching (DaF), Trauma Literature, Graphic Novels, Modern Drama in German literature, and internationalization in Higher Education. She has presented papers at various international and national conferences, published research articles in Scopus-Indexed and reputed peer-reviewed Humanities and Social Sciences journals, and published book chapters on different trending themes and emerging fields.
