Prof(Dr.) Ram Chhavi Sharma

Dr. R. C. Sharma is Professor, Department of Physics, Faculty of Applied and Basic Sciences, SGT University Gurugram. He done his M.Sc. in Physics from Agra University, M.Phil. from Kurukshetra University and Ph.D. from M.D. University Rohtak (Research center at National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi). He is the topper of M.Phil. Examination with distinction and also awarded M.Phil. scholarship by Kurukshetra University. He was awarded UGC Teacher Fellowship for completing Ph.D. He has a long teaching and research experience of 43 years. He joined Haryana Educational Services in 1977 and served the department in various capacities. He joined SGT University Gurugram as Professor in September 2016 and thereafter worked in the capacity of Head of Department, Faculty of Physical Sciences. He has about 43 research papers/ Book Chapters published in International / National Journals / Conference proceedings and attended about 50 International/National conferences and presented research papers. His services have been recognised as Chairperson, Technical session and awarded for best/outstanding oral presentation in International conferences.
He has been awarded for Best Scholar Project by SGT University Gurugram. He secured first position in the
Refresher course organised by Academic Staff College Assam University Silcher and selected as best participant in another refresher course organised by Academic Staff College, Himachal Pradesh University
Shimla. He is recipient of Gold Medal with 99% marks in course “Physics of Materials” Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT) Madras. He is the Life Member of Indian Physics Association and Indian Metrological Society. He is also member of Editorial Team/Reviewer of some reputed International journals. His main areas
of interest are; Applied Physics, Physics of Material, Electronics, Quantum Mechanics, Nuclear Physics, Spectroscopy, Energy, Atmospheric & Earth Sciences, Atmospheric pollution and Environmental Protection, Photovoltaic etc.
