Message From Our Dean

Dean - Faculty of Applied and Basic Sciences

I am delighted to share the rich history and dynamic present of the Faculty of Applied and Basic Sciences at SGT University. Established in 2014 as the Faculty of Physical Sciences, our faculty subsequently grew to its present strength encompassing five departments: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Forensic Science, and Environmental Science. Our focus on cutting-edge research activities and high-standards industry oriented educational programs sets us apart.

The research areas of our faculty span over a wide spectrum, from the nanomaterials (1D, 2D, 3D) for energy storage solutions to quantum technology, drug design to health care, mathematical modeling to computational flow dynamics, document examination to cyber forensic, contaminants removal of water and soil to health risk assessment due to air pollution, and Earth's interior to the farthest reaches of the universe. Our dedicated facilities are driven by a passion for solving the mysteries of the natural world and for making scientific advancements that can improve lives and contribute to employment generating industrial progress.

We believe in the power of human intuition and interdisciplinary dialogue to unlock new discoveries and solutions to global challenges. Our goal is to educate and empower the next generation of strong character science and technology leaders from India.
